Basic Steps to Mobile Notary Service

In our capacity as an impartial witness and official representative of the state of Georgia, Notary Checkpoint performs a variety of fraud-deterrent measures to safeguard the proper notarization of your important life-altering documents.

Here are the basic steps to Notary Public service:

• It is recommended that you DO NOT SIGN or DATE the document (most documents must be signed and dated in the presence of a Notary). 
• Bring all pages of the document(s) - not just the signature page. 
• All blanks MUST be filled in unless third-party related.
• Make sure all document signatories have acceptable government-issued photo ID.
• Required document signers/witness(es) must be present at time of notarization.

The process time for each notary appointment will vary based on signer/witness photo identification verification, the nature of the document, and quantity of notarial acts required. 

Upon arrival at the preferred service location, a mobile Notary Public will:

• examine your document(s) for completion and notarial requirement. 
• verify signer(s) proof of photo ID
• journal date of service/document detail  
• execute the required notarial acts with notary seal
