No. Under Georgia Notary law, the required document signer(s) MUST be present before the Notary at the time of the notarization. No exceptions.

Photo identification has four key elements: 

1. Issued by a government agency

2. Contains a number assigned by the agency

3. Picture of the individual

4. Signature of the individual 

Acceptable forms of current (unexpired) photo identification may include: 

• State-issued driver's license
• State-issued identification card
• U.S. passport issued by the U.S. Department of State
• U.S. military ID
• State, county, and local government IDs
• Permanent resident card, or "green card," issued by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services
• Foreign passport with an I-551 stamp issued by USCIS
• Inmate ID issued by the County Sheriff, State Department of Corrections, Federal Bureau of Prisons, 

*Unacceptable forms of identification for notary services are photocopies of driver's license, birth/marriage certificates, social security cards, utility bills, credit cards, or school IDs.
